Windsor Valiants Basketball is starting its 18th year of competitive girls’ basketball. During that period numerous teams have gone on to win Basketball Ontario (http://www.basketball.on.ca/site/index.cfm ) Championships at ever age level. Many of our players have graduated and played not only in Canadian Universities but many have obtained scholarships to the United States. Our juvenile coaches continue to work hard to find Universities and/or scholarships for our graduating players. Our teams have played in tournaments all over Ontario as well as Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Ohio. Every year many of our teams play in two or three US tournaments. Many teams also venture beyond the surrounding states and play in tournaments in several other US states as well as many foreign countries. Valiants teams have played in many tournaments run by the Girls Basketball Association (GBA) (http://www.gbabasketball.com/ ), they have played in Florida, West Virginia, North Carolina, Vermont as well as Hawaii (winning the Maui Classic in 2005) (http://www.mauisummerclassic.com/ ). Foreign destinations over the years include Japan (http://www.city.fujisawa.kanagawa.jp/introduce/english/) , Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
